Join the Smart Parking Standards Committee

The Detroit Smart Parking Lab (DSPL) operates on the ground floor of a physical parking structure that enables real-world testing of parking-related mobility technologies, logistics, and electric vehicle charging. DSPL gives technology developers a platform to examine ways to improve customer experiences and the efficient movement of vehicles and goods in defined spaces. This initiative is sponsored by Bosch, Bedrock Detroit, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, and Ford Motor Company. The DSPL Parking Standards Committee offers another way to join the conversation around smart parking. The committee is open to the public and provides a neutral convening platform for industry standards and government organizations to collectively discuss standardization needs of emerging parking, logistics, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure technologies. Its purpose is to understand, educate, and influence smart parking–related standards needed for the scaling and standardization of emerging parking technologies, logistics, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure technologies.

The subcommittees are dedicated to collaboration towards encouraging best practices and industry standards. Subcommittees meet outside of the regular monthly meeting and are led by one to three Chairpersons.
